Egham is a compact town that’s easy to get around by train, bus, car, bike or on foot. Egham Station is located just a few minutes’ walk from the high street, with regular South Western Railway services connecting the town to London Waterloo and Reading. Local buses provide connections to nearby areas, while the RH1 university shuttle links the station with the Royal Holloway campus.
For drivers, Egham is conveniently located just off Junction 13 of the M25, with Heathrow Airport around a 10–15-minute drive away. The town centre is also flat and pedestrian-friendly, making it easy to explore on foot or by bike.
Transport in Egham is reliable and convenient for students, with regular trains, local buses and other options connecting the town with Royal Holloway and nearby destinations. Egham Station is on the Reading to London Waterloo line, with direct trains reaching central London in around 40 minutes. During term time, the RH1 university shuttle also connects the station with Royal Holloway’s campus in under 10 minutes for around £1 for students.
