Hox Park is the go-to private halls for Royal Holloway, and for good reason. No matter the moment, mood, or motivation, there’s something for everyone. Want to work out? You can get a sweat on at the state-of-the-art gym and spin studio. Fancy some fun with friends? Enjoy the on-site games room. Need to press pause before a big day? Have a moment to yourself at the cosy coffee bar. The best bit? All of your bills from Wi-Fi to utilities are included in the rent!
Everything else – including your lectures – is down the road. Literally. You can get to the Royal Holloway campus for free during term time on a short 7 minute shuttle bus. Or, as a lot of students love doing – especially on sunny days – you can walk there in just over 20 minutes or cycle in around 10 minutes.

Hox Park’s reputation for being the go-to private halls for Royal Holloway isn’t surprising. From sports to studying, superfast Wi-Fi to fast and free shuttle buses – it’s all here, and all under one all-inclusive bill. Student living has never been better.
Whether you want to feel the energy of living in a shared apartment or enjoy time to yourself in your own private studio – we have the perfect room waiting for you. But at Hox Park, a room isn’t just a room. It’s so much more…
People make friends for life during their uni days. That’s why Hox Park is packed out with opportunities for people to spend time together. There are communal spaces in shared apartments, inside and outside the grounds, and regular social events.
That said, we also understand people value their own time. Downtime. That’s why all rooms are their own little getaways, with places to study, to relax and unwind alone. So, if you’re feeling sociable you can socialise, and if you’re not, you don’t have to.
We know moving away from home can be scary – especially if you’re coming from another country. That’s why our Residence Team are always on hand to provide you with any help, support, or guidance you might need.
Getting around couldn’t be easier. For a start, Hox Park offers a free shuttle bus to campus during term time. And if you’re looking to venture into London, you can be there in under an hour.
Heathrow Airport is also only 20 minutes away, perfect for those weekend trips or summer holidays. There are also free parking spaces at Hox Park available on a first-come, first-served basis if you’re hoping to bring your car or if you have people visiting.
Bills and budgeting: two words that excite no one. That’s why all our halls have just one all-inclusive bill. Your room, Wi-Fi, gym, social events, and so much more (even the shuttle bus to campus). You only have to think about one bill – and budgeting is that much easier.
Egham is similar to London when it comes to the price of food and drink. So, all the money you save with the all-inclusive bill gives you more to spend out and about with friends. You can get Ubers into Egham town for a few pounds and to Windsor for a day/night out for roughly £12 (depending on time and day) – a few pounds, split between friends. A return trip to London on the train is about £20, and even cheaper with a railcard.
